The massive expansion and improvement to Britain’s rail system has received a further boost today with the announcement of plans to electrify the main line between London and Swansea in Wales.

A further announcement has also been released stating that the popular line between Liverpool and Manchester will also be converted from its current Diesel system the electrified upgrade.

The impact of converting from diesel to the electrified system has many advantages none more so than the impact on the environment which is fantastic for Britain’s overall commitment to global warming.

The rail improvements being conducted by Network Rail across the UK have been colossal and despite many negative headlines arriving through the press headlines the long term advantages to rail commuters, and environment are significant.

Talking about the costs of rail equipment and the overall expenditure involved in the process the Government have reassured the public that the improvements will pay for themselves over a 40 year period without commuters having to foot the bills.
