Upsurge in Rail Industry Projects
One of the UK’s oldest and most established rail industry based companies Henry Williams has just completed a one million pound upgrade contract for Scottish and Southern Energy.
Henry Williams which was established way back in 1883 has survived the test of time and is now enjoying the upsurge in rail transport in finding more rail support and service contracts.
Dealing mainly with rail equipment and related industry services the latest contract alone was reported to be worth an estimated £1.4m and involved the improvement of signalling equipment and the foundation work to include the installation of a new multi million pound Flue Gas Desulpherisation project.
Across the UK there has been an upsurge in recent times of many rail industry projects as the Government and commuter organisations start to recognise the importance of rail travel regeneration. With billions currently being pumped into the rail infrastructure it is likely that many rail related companies and industries will once again flourish whilst the economic turmoil of other sectors surrounding it will continue into 2009.
