Virgin Trains has announced the appointment Paul Furze-Waddock as its new Business Development Director. The position will take effect from the New Year with an indication that his main priority and focus will lie within the area of franchise bidding. One area in particular will be the highly sought after West Franchise which of course is up for bidding around March 2010.
Paul’s experience within the rail industry extends across a number of areas and he has worked for Angel Trains and First Group where he held the position of commercial director for rail. His new position at Virgin Trains will see him reporting directly to Chief Executive Tony Collins.
